Understanding the Times

1 Chronicles 12:32

"Is there anything of which one might say, ‘See this, it is new’? Already it has existed for ages which were before us."

"Therefore, having these promises beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

PSALM 12:1,2

"Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases to be, for the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.

They speak falsehood to one another; with flattering lips and with a double heart they speak."

MICAH 7:2,3a

"The godly person has perished from the land, and there is no upright person among men. All of them lie in wait for bloodshed; each of them hunts the other with a net.

Concerning evil, both hands do it well.

PSALM 4:2,3

"O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach? How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? [Selah]

But know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him."

PSALM 101:3,4

"I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me.

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil."

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

Woe to those are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight!"

"Your own wickedness will correct you, and your apostasies will reprove you; know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the Lord your God, and the dread of Me is not in you," declares the Lord God of Hosts.

JEREMIAH 2:35b, 3:3b, 5b, 21b

"Behold, I will enter into judgment with you because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’"

"You refused to be ashamed."

"Behold, you have spoken and have done evil things, and you have had your way."

"Because they have perverted their way, they have forgotten the Lord their God."

"For My people are foolish, they know Me not; they are stupid children, and they have no understanding. They are shrewd to do evil, but to do good they do not know."

MICAH 4:12a, v.5

"But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord, and they do not understand His purpose;…"

" Though all the peoples walk each in the name of his god, as for us, we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever."

HAGGAI 1:5,7

Now therefore, thus says the Lord of Hosts, "Consider your ways!"

Thus says the Lord of Hosts, "Consider your ways!"

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

MATTHEW 10:16ff.

"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; therefore be shrewd as serpents, and innocent as doves. But beware of men; for they will deliver you up to the courts, and scourge you in their synagogues; and you shall even be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not become anxious about how or what you will speak; for it shall be given you in that hour what you are to speak. For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations…." Matthew 28:19a
